Who we are

Sanhoti is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit association in Orange County, California. Our EIN and registered address are in the footer of every page.

Using this site

Read it, share it, link to it. Please do not scrape it at a rate that affects other visitors, misrepresent yourself when contacting us, or submit anything through our forms that you would not say to a volunteer in person.

Photographs, written pieces and the Sanhoti name and logo belong to Sanhoti or to the people who made them. Ask before reusing them commercially; for community and press use, ask anyway and we will almost certainly say yes.

Donations

Donations to Sanhoti are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive an acknowledgement for your records, and we will provide a written acknowledgement for gifts where the IRS requires one.

Donations are voluntary gifts and are generally not refundable — the money is usually committed to a programme quickly. If you gave in error, gave twice, or the amount is wrong, tell us within 30 days and we will put it right. We would rather refund a mistake than keep money someone did not mean to give.

Membership dues are not donations

Dues are not tax-deductible, because membership carries benefits in return. Donations are. We keep the two separate deliberately, and conflating them causes real problems at tax time.

Applying for membership is an application. The committee confirms membership and the current dues rate; submitting the form does not by itself make you a member or charge you anything.

Event tickets

Tickets for our events are sold through Yapsody, and their terms and refund rules apply to those purchases. Where an event is cancelled by us, we will say clearly how refunds are handled for that event.

Photography at events

We photograph our events and publish selected pictures in the galleries on this site and on our social accounts. If you or your children appear in a photograph you would rather we did not use, email us and we will remove it — no explanation needed.

What we do not promise

Event details, schedules and menus can change, sometimes at short notice. We keep this site as accurate as volunteers can, but we cannot guarantee it is free of errors, and external links may stop working without our noticing.

This site is provided as-is. Sanhoti is not liable for losses arising from relying on information here, to the extent the law allows.

These terms are governed by the law of the State of California. If something here seems unfair or unclear, tell us — it was written by volunteers and can be changed.
