Get ready for an electrifying night of Bollywood chartbusters, soulful melodies and non-stop entertainment. Sanhoti is thrilled to welcome Indian playback superstar Akriti Kakar to the stage at Durga Puja 2026 in Orange County. Soulful, melodic, timeless.

Akriti Kakar is one of Bollywood's most recognisable playback voices. Recording professionally since 2000, she is best known for chart-topping hits including "Saturday Saturday" from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and "Iski Uski" from 2 States. She released her solo album Akriti with Sony Music India, with compositions by Shankar Mahadevan, and has been a judge on Zee Bangla's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs. She comes from a family of playback singers — her twin sisters Sukriti and Prakriti Kakar are also well-known artists.

Expect a set built for a live crowd: the Bollywood hits everyone knows, quieter melodies that show the range behind them, and the energy of a performer who has spent two decades on stage.

The concert takes place on Saturday 10 October at the Robert B. Moore Theater, Orange Coast College, Costa Mesa, as the centrepiece evening of Sanhoti Durgotsav 2026. The venue is minutes from Irvine, Newport Beach and Santa Ana, with parking on campus.
