Rathijit and Shreya Live

Bengali musical duo Rathijit Bhattacharjee and Shreya M Bhattacharjee performed live at Sanhoti Durga Puja 2025, at the Robert B. Moore Theater at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, Orange County.

Rathijit Bhattacharjee is a leading figure in contemporary Bengali music — a singer, composer, lyricist and music director whose songs include "Kishori", "Radharani", "Royal Fighter", "Baba" and "Mayabi". He gave his first stage performance at the age of four, and has since scored Bengali cinema, most recently co-composing the soundtrack for the 2025 period epic Raghu Dakat. He performs alongside Shreya M Bhattacharjee.

For the Bengali community of Southern California, an evening of contemporary Bengali music performed live is a rare thing — most touring line-ups reaching the US are Bollywood-focused. This concert was programmed precisely for the audience that grew up on Bengali adhunik and wanted to hear it properly, live, in Orange County.

The performance was part of Sanhoti Durgotsav 2025, alongside a concert by playback singer Mahalakshmi Iyer.
